How much does a website cost in India in 2026?
By the Nexta Web Solution team · Updated
The short answer
A professional small-business website in India costs roughly ₹14,999 to ₹74,999 + GST to build with a registered agency, depending on pages, design and features. Online stores start around ₹34,999. After launch, budget for a domain and hosting every year (from about ₹1,428 a year for good shared hosting) and, if you want someone to look after it, maintenance from ₹999 a month. Those are our own published prices; the sections below explain what moves the number.
What you get at each price
We publish our prices, so here is a concrete comparison rather than a vague range. Every package includes the first year of domain and hosting.
| Package | Price | With GST | Pages | Live in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ₹14,999 + GST | ₹17,699 | Up to 5 | 7 working days |
| Business | ₹34,999 + GST | ₹41,299 | Up to 12 | 15 working days |
| Growth | ₹74,999 + GST | ₹88,499 | Up to 25 | 25 working days |
Starter suits a shop, clinic or tutor that needs to be found on Google. Business adds a custom homepage, more pages and lead tracking. Growth is for established businesses that need bookings or payments and two languages. Use the website cost calculator for your own estimate.
What changes the price
- Number of pages and who writes them. Copywriting is real work; if you supply polished text, it costs less.
- Template or custom design. A customised template is quicker; a custom design takes more rounds and senior design time.
- Features. Booking, payments, a second language, a members’ area or integrations each add effort.
- Content migration. Moving 200 old blog posts and keeping their Google rankings is a project in itself.
- Speed and SEO targets. A guaranteed mobile speed target and a redirect plan take extra engineering.
| Common add-on | Our price |
|---|---|
| Booking / appointment system | ₹5,999 + GST |
| Payment gateway (Razorpay, PhonePe or Stripe) | ₹4,999 + GST |
| Second language (up to 12 pages) | ₹4,999 + GST |
| Extra page | ₹1,499 per page + GST |
Yearly running costs people forget
The build is a one-time cost. These come back every year:
| Item | Typical yearly cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Domain (.in or .com) | A few hundred to about ₹1,500 | Depends on extension and registrar; renewal is often higher than the first year. |
| Hosting | From about ₹1,428 | For example Cloud hosting on The PowerHost, our hosting brand. Busy sites need more. |
| Business email | Free to paid per user | Hosting email is often included; Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 is billed per user. |
| Maintenance (optional) | ₹9,999 to ₹24,999 a year | Updates, backups, monitoring and change hours on our plans. |
| Paid plugins or themes | Varies | Only if your site uses them. Ask before you sign. |
How to compare two quotes fairly
- 1Put both quotes side by side and list the pages each one includes.
- 2Check whether the price is plus GST or including GST.
- 3Compare revision rounds, free support after launch, and the go-live date.
- 4Ask who owns the domain, the hosting account and the code.
- 5Add year-two costs to both.
