How to start a website reselling business in India without coding
By the Nexta Web Solution partner team · Updated
The short answer
A website reselling business means you find clients who need a website, sell it under your own brand at your own price, and have a white-label partner design and build it. You keep the difference between your price and the partner price. You need no coding skills, only a phone, a list of local businesses and the ability to explain what a website will do for them.
How white-label website reselling works
The model is simple. Four parties, one clear flow of money:
- 1A local business owner tells you they need a website.
- 2You agree the pages, features and price with them, and collect an advance.
- 3You place the order with your white-label partner at the partner price and share the client's content.
- 4The partner designs and builds the site. You review it with the client, collect the balance and hand it over under your brand.
The client pays you, you pay the partner, and the margin stays with you. Unlike affiliate or referral schemes, you own the client relationship and set the price yourself.
What to sell and what you can earn
Keep the menu short. These are the packages our partners sell most, with example margins at our suggested prices:
| Package | Suggested selling price | Your example profit | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5-page business website | ₹24,999 | about ₹20,000 | Shops, clinics, tutors, local services |
| 10-page business website | ₹39,999 | about ₹31,500 | Schools, hospitals, builders, manufacturers |
| Online store (WooCommerce) | ₹59,999 | about ₹47,500 | Retailers selling products online |
| Landing page | ₹12,999 | about ₹10,500 | Admissions, launches, ad campaigns |
| Website maintenance (yearly) | ₹29,999 a year | about ₹24,000 a year | Every client after launch |
You are free to price lower to win in a price-sensitive market, or higher where clients pay more. The add-ons matter too: domain, hosting, a logo, Google Business Profile setup and monthly SEO all grow the value of each client.
Who buys websites, and how to find them
Your best prospects are businesses that depend on local customers and still run mostly on word of mouth, phone calls and WhatsApp:
- Doctors, dentists, diagnostic labs and physiotherapists
- Coaching centres, schools and tuition teachers before admission season
- Builders, interior designers and property dealers
- Restaurants, sweet shops, cake makers and caterers
- Hardware, electronics and furniture shops
- CA firms, lawyers and insurance agents
Open Google Maps, search a category with your town name, and note businesses without a website link. That list is your first week of calls.
A simple sales conversation that works
Business owners do not buy "a website". They buy more enquiries, more trust and less time answering the same questions. A conversation that tends to work:
- 1Ask before you pitch. "How do new customers find you today? What do they ask most on the phone?"
- 2Show them their competitor. Search their service on Google with them and point out who appears and who has a website.
- 3Show a sample from the same type of business on your phone.
- 4Explain in their terms: "Customers will see your timings, prices and location, and message you on WhatsApp in one tap."
- 5Give a clear price and what is included, then ask for a 50% advance to start.
Common objections and honest answers:
| They say | You can say |
|---|---|
| "My nephew will make it." | "That works if he will also fix it, renew it and update it every year. With us, support is included." |
| "I already have a Facebook page." | "Keep it. A website shows up on Google search and Maps, where people look when they are ready to buy." |
| "It is too expensive." | "We can start with the 5-page site or a landing page, and you can pay in two parts." |
| "I will think about it." | "Of course. Shall I send you two samples and the exact price list on WhatsApp now?" |
Delivery, handover and keeping the client
A smooth handover is what brings referrals. Make sure the client gets their domain registered in their own name, login details, a short guide to updating content, and a working contact form tested in front of them. Our website handover checklist lists everything.
Then offer the next step: a yearly maintenance plan, a Google Business Profile setup or monthly SEO. Each client who renews adds income you do not have to find again.
How to choose a white-label website partner
Your reputation depends on someone else's work, so check these points before you commit:
- A written scope for every package: pages, revisions, delivery time.
- Real samples you can show, built by their own team.
- Client protection: they will not contact your clients to sell directly.
- Your branding on proposals and handover, not theirs.
- A named contact who answers on WhatsApp during working hours.
- Clear ownership: the client owns the domain and the finished website.
- A registered company you can verify on the MCA portal.
